Raíces del Amor Privacy Policy
Raíces del Amor is a mobile app for couples that allows creating a shared garden, sending affectionate messages, unlocking flowers, caring for a virtual guardian, optionally participating in a community ranking, and saving garden memories. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who processes it, and how you can request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
We do not sell your personal data or use your private messages for personalized advertising.
Information we collect
- Account information: user identifier, email address, display name, login provider, and session state.
- Profile information: optional nickname, shared garden identifier, theme preferences, notifications, and reminders.
- Content created in the app: affectionate messages, plants, garden beds, garden memories, flower collection, acquisition history, virtual guardian, and pass progress.
- Shared couple data: invitation code, garden members, garden name for ranking if you choose to enable it, streaks, achievements, and shared progress.
- Technical and diagnostic data: notification tokens, time zone, device model, operating system, app version, usage events, error logs, and data needed to operate widgets or animations.
How we use information
- To enable login and keep your session active.
- To sync the shared garden between couple members.
- To save messages, memories, flowers, inventory, optional ranking, guardians, and pass progress.
- To send notifications related to partner activity, smart reminders, and app operational notices.
- To detect errors, prevent abuse, improve stability, measure general usage, and maintain security.
- To fulfill support requests, account deletion, or applicable legal requirements.
Third-party services
The app uses Google and Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Firebase Storage, Remote Config, Crashlytics, and Analytics. It may also use Google Play services for updates, in-app reviews, and Google Sign-In, plus Apple Sign In on iOS. These providers process data needed for authentication, synchronization, storage, notifications, analytics, diagnostics, and app operation.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be processed by our technical providers, primarily Google/Firebase, under their own security and privacy measures. Within the app, certain information is shared with the person linked to your garden to enable the shared experience. If you enable ranking, the garden name and its score may appear publicly. We may also disclose information if necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to valid authority requests, or protect the security of the app and its users.
Data retention
We retain information while your account is active or as long as necessary to operate the service, maintain security, resolve issues, or comply with legal obligations. Diagnostic data and operational logs may be retained for limited periods. Shared garden data may require special review because it belongs to a two-person experience.
Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and data from the account deletion page. Once your request is processed, associated personal data will be deleted or unlinked as appropriate. Minimal data may be temporarily retained when necessary for security, abuse prevention, operational backup, or legal compliance.
Your choices and rights
You can change notification preferences, smart reminders, appearance, and ranking from within the app. You can also request access, correction, or deletion of your data by writing to the contact email. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Security
We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, and access controls to protect information. Even so, no system is completely foolproof.
Children’s privacy
Raíces del Amor is not directed at children under 13, nor at people who are not old enough to use online services under the applicable law of their country. If you believe a minor’s information has been collected, contact us to review it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The last updated date will indicate when the most recent change was made.
